Human identity is perceived as recognition of the face or as a description of the body as an entity.

It reproduces, defines and places ourselves in a social context. This is the image that coincides with reality, represents us and through it we become recognizable.

In our constant effort to furnish it with characteristics that are interpreted through social, moral, aesthetic, political and other criteria we shape a conceptual image of ourselves which is fundamentally not real but ideal.

These photographs question the ideal image shaped by each one of us for ourselves and define a real image.

It is a chance image, produced within everyday life, in one of the plentiful moments of our existence.

The ‘Nudes’ series evoke reality. It is the reflection we see in our mirror, when we are alone and discuss with ourselves. This is the sole moment that we concentrate in the detail of ourselves. We observe our reflection, we evaluate time and reflect. We don’t speak, we don’t hear, we just observe ourselves. The nude face, impeccable, possibly, identifies with our soul.
