A distant location. Somewhere unusual. A landscape you have to travel a long way for. A place where every scene is new, where you try not to blink because you don’t want to miss a single moment. This is the way we define the exotic. The Greeks, we focus faraway, ignoring our home country, which feels mundanely familiar and down-to-earth. Do exotic lands exist in Greece? This photographic project performs a search. “Exotic Lands” started without a beginning. It is possible that it will finish without an end, and nobody knows what it might turn into during its course. Still, when you’re journeying, all that matters is the journey. Kinda like life.
