Thousands of sub-Saharans leave their country with the hope of a better life in Europe. The tightening of European migration policies makes their journey increasingly dangerous and unsuccessful.
Many migrants are stranded for months or years in Morocco, historically a transit country that has now become a de facto destination country.
They are caught in a limbo, existing somewhere between the end of their old lives and the start of something unpredictable.
