“Infinite Rehearsal” is a series of allegorical portraits and staged situations. It is a collaboration between the photographer and professional performers, re-envisioning personal experiences within the privacy of the studio space.
The events depicted remain elusive and ambiguous. The focus lies on the non-verbal relationships between the figures, as well as on the tension that develops within their interactions. Impoverished communication mediated through phones and post-it notes is contradicted by gestures and body proximities. Intimacy and togetherness are challenged by dense remoteness and individualism.
While together in the studio, the roles of narrator, photographer and performer alternate, turning our individual stories into a collective exploration.
