“We Live Inside a Dream” is rooted in the experience of my mother, as I sought to tell the story not just of her but of every individual who has faced illness, adversity, and loss. This project captures the vulnerability of the human body and spirit while simultaneously revealing the hidden forces that reside within us and guide us forward. It serves as a reminder of the unbreakable bonds that connect us, as well as the shared experiences and fates that shape our collective identity.
“We Live Inside a Dream” revolves around the idea that life is like a dream—a fleeting, ethereal existence that is just one aspect of a larger narrative. Life and dreams often intertwine, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. Just as awakening from a dream prompts us to question those boundaries, this work invites us to question the nature of reality. The images act as mirrors reflecting the world around us, inviting us to explore the different aspects of ourselves and capturing our desires, fears, and expectations.
