About faith – Places and norms of worship (INTL)

The exhibition is the outcome of a long-standing eff ort to explore faith and the
way it can be rendered in terms of cross-cultural photographic time. It includes
work by photographers who investigate, each in his or her own distinct style, the
issue of faith and how that is expressed around the Mediterranean basin.
The way and the extent that the spirituality of the fi xed photographic image is
involved in the spirituality of any faith is a primary feature of this exhibition.
In this exhibition documentary photography coexist with studio, conceptual and
pictorial photography. What is manifested, is the intention of the artists to blend
the given elements with questions that may be generated.
