Georgia Bantiou

The series “Humans in nature” presents portraits of Athenians under directed instructions. The inhabitants of the city live in fast rhythms and they survive the constant stress which is caused by the city’s way of life. In this collection, I suggested a possibility to escape of this reality and direct to a more natural landscape, i.e. a park, which is located in the middle of the city. The human element is included in nature, and surrounded by herbage. The rigid posture of the body may be compared with a stem of a tree that way I want to indicate that even living in a city may harmonize with nature since is a part of it.
